The activity envisages organization of a study visit for the team of national experts, involved in the development of the case management guide on DGBV-issues for magistrates, to specialized bodies and structures of the Council of Europe, competent for adoption and implementation of the international standards for prevention and counteraction to Domestic and Gender-based Violence (including CoE Gender Equality division, GREVIO, etc.).
The study visit will raise the awareness of the national experts on the procedures and specific tools of the CoE specialized structures for counteraction to the specified forms of violence as a key prerequisite for the uniform understanding and implementation at the national level of the established international standards in this field and will facilitate the building-up of professional contacts. It will also enable national participants to identify and borrow established good practices related to the implementation of the international standards for prevention and protection against domestic violence which have the potential to contribute to raising the effectiveness of the national mechanisms for fundamental rights’ protection in this field.
As a specific form of cross-border training activity, the envisaged study visit will encourage the enhancement of knowledge, promotion of skills and implementаtion of best European practices, based on the acquired knowledge by the participants in the study visit on the procedures and the models of functioning of the hosting institution and will support their activity related to the development of the Case-management guide.
Activity outcomes:
- One study visit for best practice exchange to a competent European Institution in the field of human rights protection implemented for up to 5 representatives of the project target group;
- A report on the identified best practices with regard to fundamental rights’ protection and implementation of the international standards for prevention and protection against domestic and gender-based violence elaborated.
